Creating an entire children’s book is quite the process. I highly recommend it if you don’t like to see sunshine or friends for months. A little more drawing, then on to the text! Check out yourecolor.com for future updates as I try and get published!

“MAMA MIA” - This is an artwork made by Clarissa Tiongson Ortiz, a very special child with down syndrome. Very special indeed because she is blessed with the talent of painting. She attends art classes and is supported by her mom Malu Tiongson-Ortiz, who is very proud of her. I am very proud of her as well for having such talent. I saw her paintings personally and I am amazed! Clarissa starts with the face and then fine-tuned by her mom. You can find some of Clarissa’s works here -> http://clarissationgsonortiz.blogspot.com/
I was moved by her God-given talent. Everyone in her family and friends love her so much and thinks she is the real blessing. I am honored to have met her, seen her paintings and I would like to share this to the whole world.
Clarissa truly is an inspiration. Bravo!
Some more Jack Delano, because I think his early 1940s color photographs of railroads and railroad workers are wonderful. (Lots more at the Library of Congress site.)
